ProTV broadcast the first episode
of "The Heritage" on Monday, 4th of October, at 22:15. After
returning from Nice were he has found his long-time lost son, State
takes advantage of Sanela's christening party , Stiven and
Minodora's daughter, to announce everyone that he legitimately
recognizes Gabriel as his son, but first of all as his only
heir.
.
Although State expects his life
to be more peaceful and joyful with Gabriel's reappearance, things
are far from being so. The risks for State are not coming only from
inside. Fabrizio di Pietro, son of the Mafioso Don Tito and good
friend of Don Luciano (character interpreted by Dan Condurache in
"Regina") returns to Romania, after being banished from Sicilia,
and where he hopes to make the money to buy his place into the
Italian family once again. Therefore he decides that State's
business is the best way of getting the money he needs.
.
A new key ingredient of the
series is the love story between the two protagonists: Carla
(Ramona Hanganu) and Gabriel (Costin Sofaru). The love that is born
between them has to overcome the hatred of the two families, as
well as the secrets, intrigues and lies, so that Gabriel and Carla
don't end up like the beautiful but sad story of Romeo and
Juliet.
.
"The love story between Carla and
Gabriel is beautifully built and somehow unusual. The viewers will
be surprise how things evolve and, hopefully, they will join Carla
and Gabriel in their attempts to overcome all boundaries and to
live their love story" said Costin Sforaru.
.
The soundtrack includes
Loredana's song "Iubi iubi" written by Jeremy Adelman and Loredana
especially for the series. The song was recorded in May in New
York. "Pentru tine" (For you) is another song on the soundtrack,
played by Ramona Hanganu, the star protagonist of the series and
recorded for the closing theme. "The song was written by Ionut Radu
and is actually the love story between Carla and Gabriel told on
musical notes" said Ramona.
.
"The Heritage" will bring to the
public the perfect combination of humour, drama and romance. Asked
which the strengths of the series are, Gheorghe Visu replied:
"First of all, the fact that people are already familiar with some
of the characters and love them because they're funny, pull them
out of their workaday reality and, besides that, new characters
arrive. In addition, we have an unusual love story that stirs
curiosity. The series is a product with an amazing cast, talented
young actors and a storyline hardly predictable that makes the
viewer eager to see more", says Gheorghe Visu - the performer of
the renowned character State Potcovaru.
.
Shooting began in July and the
actors have already gone though a lot of adventures. Carmen Tanase
however remains on top with "the bath" in the pool already
memorable among my colleagues. "I was shooting a scene where I had
to throw myself in the water after one of the characters. Because
of the dive, the shirt and apron I was wearing, literally glued to
my face and head. At first I didn't know how to react, because I
couldn't see anything, I didn't know the position of the actors I
had to interact with, but I improvised something immediately and
shooting moved on" Carmen told amused.
.
The story from "The Heritage" is
written from thousands miles away. Geo Caraman and Andreea Catana,
the two screenwriters of the series work via the internet because
Geo is in Los Angeles, where for two years she is studying
screenwriting at New York Film Academy. "The internet helps us a
lot and the only difference is that we're not in the same room at
MediaPro in Buftea, because otherwise we spend many hours coming up
with ideas for new episodes and working on the dialogue, sometimes
making the changes required" told Geo.
.
Along Iura Luncasu, coordinating
director and Larry Maronese, the director who also worked for
"State of Romania", for the new production was brought in Mihai
Bratila, the director who was part of "Little Angels" and "Aniela"
crew. They confess that the project is a true challenge because is
a product that contains different ingredients. "The Heritage is a
complex project that combines romance, action, suspense turning it
into a real challenge from the director point of view. The series
brings a lot of new characters which quickly integrated in the crew
allowing us to work very well together and to shape each role very
well", said Larry Maronese.
